The Leader: Joshua 1:1-11

The book of Joshua begins in a familiar place, on the banks of the Jordan River with Israel preparing to enter the Promised Land. Moses has died, and a new leader will take them into the land of promise. Joshua means "God Saves," and his life and the book that bears his name will demonstrate this theme to God's people then and now.
