Galatians 6: Life Together
The internal change the Gospel brings about in our hearts always makes its way out into our lives. It’s no coincidence that the greatest commandment is to love God and the second is just like it, to love our neighbors. The love of God, the gospel of the saving work of Jesus Christ, will radically influence the way we treat others. In this section, Paul focuses on our lives together in the church and in community.
Coming off of the famous Fruit of the Spirit in the previous chapter, Paul now turns to the effects of the fruit in the body of Christ. After all, fruit is made to be eaten. The fruit in our lives is nourishing, refreshing, and sustaining to the people in the church around us.
